Our Story
The Beginning
TourConnect began when our founders, avid travelers themselves, realized there was a disconnect between tourists and the authentic experiences cities had to offer. Too often, visitors would stick to overcrowded tourist traps, missing the true character of the places they visited.
At the same time, they met incredible local guides with deep knowledge and passion for their cities, but who struggled to reach a global audience. The idea for a platform that could bridge this gap was born.
Building the Platform
In 2023, we launched the first version of TourConnect with a small group of guides in five cities. The response was overwhelming – travelers loved the authentic experiences, and guides appreciated the direct connection with their audience.
We quickly expanded our features to include self-guided tours, allowing guides to create digital content that travelers could access anytime, anywhere. This innovation opened up new possibilities for both guides and travelers.
Where We Are Today
Today, TourConnect hosts thousands of guides across hundreds of cities worldwide. Our platform has facilitated over 100,000 tour experiences, connecting travelers with authentic local experiences they might never have discovered otherwise.
We continue to innovate, adding new features and expanding to new destinations. But our core mission remains the same: connecting travelers with authentic experiences and empowering local guides to share their passion and expertise.
